Jorge M. Perez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation Grant Award

At the opening of El Espacio 23 (a new museum showcasing the Jorge M. Perez Collection), The Pérez CreARTE Grants Program gave $2 million to 23 Miami-Dade organizations providing artists fellowships, spaces for creating art and education programs for local youth. Miami Light Project is thrilled to be among this year’s incredible list of recipients of the Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation’s CreARTE grant. We were awarded $50,000 to support our extended Artists-in-Residence Program, AIR at The Light Box. The vision of this program is to: support local artists in critical stages of developing work; to deeply connect the community with the artists’ process and impact.
